登万楼，逛市集！品读城市文脉｜跟着留学生玩转湘潭②

第六届湖南旅游发展大会于6月27日在湘潭启幕，湘潭大学来自乌干达的留学生马百万探访地标万楼。

万楼始建于明代，内九外五形制独具韵味，自古文人登楼吟诗作赋。搭配青年码头文创街区，古韵新潮相融，登楼望湘江，读懂“万楼兴，湘潭兴”的城市文脉。

The 6th Hunan Tourism Development Conference opens in Xiangtan on June 27. Ma Baiwan, an international student from Uganda at Xiangtan University, visits Wanlou, Xiangtan’s landmark.

Constructed in the Ming Dynasty, it features a distinctive layout of nine inner floors and five outer floors. Ancient literati once gathered here to appreciate the river and write poems. Combined with Youth Wharf creative blocks, it perfectly integrates ancient elegance and modern vibes. Gazing out over the Xiangjiang River, you can deeply understand the urban cultural spirit behind the saying “Prosperous Wanlou means prosperous Xiangtan”.
