A ceremony marking the launch of Yueyang's all-cargo air service and the signing of Yueyang's air freight hub investment agreements was held on May 31. This event aimed to help build Yueyang into an air freight hub in Central China and further support the province in constructing a new "passenger transport in the south, and air freight in the north" pattern for its aviation logistics development.

An all-cargo aircraft fully loaded with cross-border e-commerce parcels, fresh products, electronic accessories, and other goods took off from Yueyang on that day. Eight projects were signed on site, spanning key areas such as aviation logistics platforms, international freight warehousing, and low-altitude equipment manufacturing, accelerating Yueyang's efforts to build and upgrade the air freight hub.

Yueyang is located at the crossroads where the Yangtze River and the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway intersect, making it the only port city in Hunan with access to both river and sea. A multi-dimensional open framework spanning water, rail, road, and air transport has taken shape. In recent years, under the province's "passenger transport in the south, and air freight in the north" development deployment, Yueyang has been fully advancing the construction of an international air freight hub, continuously optimizing logistics resource allocation, and steadily strengthening industrial foundation. The Sanhe Airport has been approved for temporary opening, equipped with an international freight warehouse, crew inspection rooms, and three designated supervision sites for imported fruits, refrigerated aquatic products, and edible aquatic animals. The blueprint of "connecting domestic and international markets, freight service reaching the globe" is turning into reality, enabling more Hunan-made and Chinese-made products to go global.
