According to the Chenzhou Customs Authority, Chenzhou's total imports and exports reached 18.08 billion CNY in the first quarter, ranking second in the province with a year-on-year increase of 40.8% which is 24.2 percentage points higher than the provincial average. Imports and exports in processing trade stood at 13.32 billion CNY, up 39.5%, maintaining the largest scale across the province.

In January, the Chenzhou Customs Authority piloted a new supervision model for sea-rail intermodal transport service. The first batch of 20 containers of photovoltaic glass was shipped by railway directly to the Nansha Port in Guangzhou for export, allowing enterprises to complete the entire process with a single declaration through the "Single Window" for international trade. In March, the supervision model for imported goods via intermodal transport was implemented, achieving two-way connectivity. During the first quarter, the authority supervised 104 imported and exported vehicles worth 160 million CNY through the "Single E-lock Scheme (SELS)" model, up 36.8% and 5.9%, respectively.

The efficiency of open platforms continues to be highlighted. The Chenzhou Customs Authority has provided strong support for the high-quality development of the comprehensive bonded zone. In the first quarter, the Chenzhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone achieved imports and exports of 5.65 billion CNY, up 33.1%, ranking third in total volume and second in growth rate among the comprehensive bonded zones around the province. A total of 2,382 containers were delivered through Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea intermodal transport service. The new supervision model for sea-rail intermodal transport has helped enterprises save approximately 50% of customs clearance time.

The vitality of market entities accelerated. Customs statistics show that, in the first quarter, private enterprises in Chenzhou City achieved imports and exports of 15.51 billion CNY, up 41.8% and accounting for 85.8% of the city's total foreign trade value. Exports of the "new three" products—lithium batteries, photovoltaic products, and new energy vehicles—reached 79.71 million CNY, up 65.1%. Exports of mechanical and electrical products, agricultural products, and agricultural machinery products all achieved double-digit growth.
