Recently, a dedicated container train loaded with makeup brushes from a Hunan cosmetic appliances technology company departed from Yantian Port in Shenzhen, bound for European and American markets, including France. As a key export-oriented enterprise introduced by Yanling County, the company achieved an export value of 97.13 million CNY in 2025, a 48-fold increase from the previous year, emerging as a "dark horse" in Zhuzhou's foreign trade.

Yanling County's foreign trade has maintained growth for six consecutive years, with the county's total import and export volume climbing from 380 million CNY in 2020 to 734 million CNY in 2025, representing an average annual growth rate of 14.1%. The number of enterprises with actual foreign trade performance has increased to 19.

To accelerate the export of "mountain specialty products," Yanling County has implemented a targeted "policy mix." The county leaders have led investment attraction teams to successfully attract a number of high-quality export-oriented enterprises, while also encouraging local enterprises to resume export operations, thereby expanding the county's circle of friends in foreign trade. Through strategic market planning, the county authority has not only seen rapid growth in manufacturing but has also exported sturgeon products to the Vietnamese market and achieved overseas sales of agricultural products such as bamboo leaves and water moss, establishing a foreign trade landscape where multiple sectors advance together.

The county authority has established a four-party coordination mechanism involving government, enterprises, banks, and insurance companies for service support. Multi-departmental task forces provide "order-based" services, deepen cooperation with institutions such as the Hunan Bonded Port and the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Light Industrial Products and Arts-Crafts, build matchmaking platforms, organize enterprises to participate in domestic and international exhibitions while providing subsidies, and implement the campaign of "senior officials handling governmental affairs" to promote business-friendly policies. Flexible industrial land concessions are also being implemented to reduce corporate costs.

This year, Yanling County will continue to expand its opening-up, vigorously promote investment attraction targeting industrial chains and the "Hunan Entrepreneurs Returning Home" Initiative, striving to introduce two projects worth over 1 billion yuan each and secure the implementation of at least six projects led by Hunan entrepreneurs. The county authority will support enterprises in expanding into international markets, aiming to foster at least three new enterprises with actual foreign trade performance throughout the year and drive a roughly 10% increase in total import and export volume. Through more concrete measures and superior services, the county government will propel its foreign trade economy to new heights.
