International Fireworks Communication Alliance Established to Boost Liuyang Fireworks Industry

How can the Liuyang fireworks brand go further and soar higher? How can we leverage new media to effectively tell the story of fireworks and drive higher-quality industry development? On April 14, the International Fireworks Communication Alliance was established, marking a new phase of more systematic, professional, and efficient international communication for Liuyang fireworks industry and injecting new momentum into the global promotion of this traditional characteristic industry.

The International Fireworks Communication Alliance is composed of government departments, fireworks and firecrackers association, as well as enterprises, self-media, and cross-border e-commerce platforms. A plaque presentation ceremony was held at the event. Representatives from various sectors gathered to engage in in-depth discussions and exchanges on key topics such as how to amplify the cultural value and tourism appeal of fireworks through new media, how enterprises can leverage new media to effectively tell their brand stories, and how the fireworks trade can break through challenges in the new media environment. The event was packed with valuable insights and had a lively atmosphere, fostering a shared consensus and collective momentum for collaborative industrial communication.

In recent years, Liuyang has capitalized on the momentum of new media, leveraging diverse channels such as short videos, live streams, and social media platforms both domestically and internationally to consistently create viral content. The "Liuyang Fireworks" trend has frequently gone viral and garnered widespread attention, with total online exposure successfully surpassing ten billion views. The powerful momentum of new media has been rapidly transformed into new driving forces for industrial development. Statistics showed that new media has driven the vigorous development of new business formats in Liuyang, including fireworks-themed tourism, customized fireworks displays, cultural and creative derivatives, and cross-border e-commerce. Since 2023, 149 creative fireworks displays have lit up the sky at the Sky Theater, attracting a cumulative total of over eight million visits to Liuyang and directly stimulating more than 20 billion CNY in consumer spending. The effect of "one fireworks display igniting an entire city" continues to grow.

The alliance will build a new media communication matrix comprising "official media, self-media, and social media platforms," integrating resources from multiple sources. This aims to help Liuyang fireworks industry transition from operating in isolation to collectively expanding into international markets as a unified alliance.

Moving forward, the alliance will systematically develop and disseminate a range of high-quality content on fireworks culture. By focusing on both the production and consumer sides of the industry, it aims to guide the market toward a demand for safe, environmentally friendly, and high-quality products. The alliance will strive to turn challenges into opportunities for public engagement, transform industrial consensus into broader social resonance, and build a positive reputation through value. The goal is to shift the focus from "bans and restrictions" to scientific planning and orderly fireworks presentation, thereby continuously enhancing the global recognition and reputation of "Liuyang Fireworks" as an international brand.
