The first Chinese Medicinal Agriculture Expo (CMAE), also the Chinese Medicinal Agriculture Conference, was held in Changsha between April 10 and 12, 2026.

Covering an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters, the event was participated by nearly 200 well-known pharmaceutical enterprises such as the China Traditional Chinese Medicine Holdings Co., Ltd., Tianjin Pharmaceutical Da Ren Tang Group, and Heilongjiang Fanglin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., as well as more than 20 counties specialized in genuine medicinal materials industry such as Anguo County-level City in Hebei Province. The event received 35,000 visits.

At the opening ceremony, the Hunan Medicine-Xiang Zhong Yun Chinese Medicine Traceability and Trading Platform was launched. Nearly a thousand suppliers have registered on the platform, speeding up Hunan's building of a national big data center for the circulation and traceability of traditional Chinese medicine. The China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine signed cooperation agreements with the Hunan Convention and Exhibition Group and others, initiating cross-regional industrial collaboration. Meanwhile, the Hunan Pharmaceutical Industry Association and the Hunan Provincial Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry signed agreements with multiple enterprises to deepen government-enterprise coordination and industry-education integration.

Twelve parallel meetings including the TCM Supply Chain Integration Meeting were held during the event, establishing a high-end and professional "circle of friends" of the industry.
