The China-Europe Railway Express (Changsha) has maintained its strong momentum. As of March 31 this year, the freight train service operated a total of 321 trains, representing a year-on-year increase of 103.82%. There were 26,252 standard containers (TEUs) delivered, up 103.69% year on year. The total cargo volume grew 141.22% year on year to 218,700 tonnes.

The China-Europe (Changsha) freight train service has been playing an increasingly prominent role in supporting the development of Hunan enterprises and promoting the export of Hunan-made products. In terms of cargo value, the China-Europe Railway Express (Changsha) is the preferred choice for international logistics among Hunan enterprises. Local enterprises achieved a total import and export value of 361 million USD via the China-Europe Railway Express, marking a year-on-year increase of 9.54% and accounting for 50.21% of the total foreign trade value of the railway service.

In terms of container volume, provincial enterprises exported 8,848 TEUs via the China-Europe Railway Express (Changsha), a year-on-year increase of 17.54%, accounting for 47.45% of the total export volume of the freight train service. Hunan's manufacturing sector showed significantly growing enthusiasm and activity in expanding into international markets through this rail corridor.

The export supervision warehouse at the consolidation center has become the "departure station" for many small and medium-sized foreign trade enterprises shipping LCL cargo overseas. The Xingsha Customs Authority, under the jurisdiction of the Changsha Customs Authority, has implemented measures such as "24/7" appointment-based customs clearance, increasing the inspection rate for large H986 containers, and streamlining declaration procedures, thereby effectively ensuring the efficient clearance of LCL cargo.

In the first quarter of this year, the value of goods departed from this supervision warehouse reached 84.91 million USD, rising 17.80% year on year. The LCL model effectively addresses the challenge faced by SMEs of not having enough cargo to fill a full container. The model enables more "Made in Hunan" products to reach global markets in a more economical and convenient manner.
