清明，是思念疯长的时节。我们总是在这一天，试图凝望那个名为“死亡”的终点。

Qingming is the season when longing wells up. On this day, we always try to touch the endpoint called "death".

有这样一群人，常年守在生与死的交接线上。他们是入殓师，送逝者最后一程的摆渡人。

There is a group of people who stand year-round at the junction between life and death. They are morticians, the ferrymen who accompany the deceased on their final journey.

“让逝者安息，生者慰藉”。这是一场无声的对话。动作轻巧而利落，依着肤色的深浅调出最贴合的底色。每一笔，都是为了让离开的人，看起来只是睡着了。

"Let the departed rest in peace, and bring solace to the living." It is a silent dialogue. Their movements are gentle yet precise. They blend the most matching foundation according to the skin tone. Every stroke is to make the one who has left appear as if merely asleep.

他们见过太多来不及告别的分离。 地下的冷柜区，一排排格子门整齐排列，每一扇门后，都安睡着一个人生。每一扇门后，也都是一个正在经历疼痛的家庭。

They have witnessed too many separations without farewell. In the underground cold storage area, rows of compartment doors are neatly arranged. Behind each door rests a life. Behind each door is also a family experiencing pain.

人们说，逝去的亲人会化作天上的星辰。 每每仰望星空，繁星闪烁，天上人间，彼此惦念。死亡不是生命的终点，遗忘才是。哪怕在生命的最后一刻，体面与尊严也从未缺席。

People say that departed loved ones turn into stars in the sky. Whenever we gaze up at the starry sky, the twinkling stars are a reminder that love endures between heaven and earth. Death is not the end of life; forgetting is. Even in the final moment of life, dignity and respect are never absent.

谨以此片，献给生命终点站的“摆渡人”。 他们护送着，每一颗远行的星，安然入星河。

This film is dedicated to the ferrymen at the terminal of life. They escort every departing star, guiding it gently into the galaxy.
