According to the Changsha Customs Authority, Hunan's exports of rail transit equipment reached 210 million CNY in the first two months of 2026, marking a year-on-year increase of 8.9%. The export value in February alone hit 93.793 million CNY, up 62.9%.

Since the beginning of this year, Hunan's rail transit companies have continued to expand into overseas markets. Vossloh Rolling Stock, a subsidiary of CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive, has secured an order from Europe's Nexrail for an additional 20 hybrid locomotives. These locomotives are authorized for use in Germany, France, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Prasarana Malaysia Berhad awarded its 26 new trainsets for the Kelana Jaya Line to CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive.

Data shows that in the first two months, Hunan's rail transit equipment exports to the EU totaled 94.002 million CNY, an increase of approximately 40%; exports to ASEAN reached 7.282 million CNY; and exports to Africa amounted to 4.169 million CNY, up 6.2%. Among these, exports to Germany, Uzbekistan, South Korea, and Poland saw rapid growth, increasing by 38.2%, 25.2 times, 340.3%, and 216.4%, respectively. During this period, exports to countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative reached 100 million CNY, up 14.1%.

Exports of complete rolling stock saw significant growth. In the first two months, exports of AC motor-powered and battery-powered electric locomotives increased by 228.9% and 258.3%, respectively. Exports of other DC motor-powered electric locomotives totaled 591,000 CNY, while no exports were recorded in this regard during the same period last year.
