Zhuzhou Achieves "Good Start" in Foreign Trade

In the first two months of 2026, Zhuzhou's imports and exports reached 4.97 billion CNY, increasing by 40.6% year on year, according to the Zhuzhou Customs Authority. Its exports hit 4.1 billion CNY, up 54.9%.

Exports of high-tech products demonstrated a robust momentum. During the two months, Zhuzhou's exports of mechanical and electrical products reached 3.04 billion CNY, rising 65.5% and taking up 74% of the total. Exports of the "three new" products—electric vehicles, lithium-ion batteries, and photovoltaic products—stood at 540 million CNY.

Zhuzhou has maintained rapid growth in trade with Africa. The Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea intermodal freight service launched 151 train trips from Zhuzhou Station during the two months, surging 86.42% over the same period of last year. The Zhuzhou Inland Port for China-Africa economic and trade cooperation and the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea intermodal freight service have been continuously upgraded, providing logistical support for Zhuzhou's expansion into the African market. In the first two months, Zhuzhou's trade volume with Africa reached 220 million CNY, marking a year-on-year increase of 38.6%.
