3月26日，第六届龚古尔文学奖中国区评选结果在长沙公布。法国驻武汉总领事及龚古尔学院院士亲临现场，共赴这场跨越八千公里的文学之约。

 March 26, the results of the 6th Prix Goncourt China Selection were announced in Changsha. The Consul General of France in Wuhan and a member of the Académie Goncourt attended the event, joining a literary encounter spanning over 8,000 kilometers.

龚古尔学院院士埃里克-埃马纽埃尔·施米特受法国驻华大使馆邀请，担任本届评选特邀嘉宾与评委，在现场宣布了评选结果。毛里求斯裔法国作家娜塔莎·阿帕娜创作的小说《心上的夜晚》获选。

Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt, a member of the Académie Goncourt, attended as a special guest at the invitation of the French Embassy in China and announced the result. The novel Tropique de la violence by French-Mauritian writer Nathacha Appanah won the award.

At the event, guests engaged in in-depth discussions on Chinese and French literature, noting that a shared emotional thread -- deep attachment to one's homeland and a focus on ordinary lives -- resonates across cultures.

在短视频与AI盛行的时代，文学的价值何在？现场的热忱给出了答案——文学无法被机器复制，也无法被取代；它或许缓慢，却让我们的内心有处安放。

In an age dominated by short videos and AI, what is the value of literature? The enthusiasm at the event offered an answer -- literature cannot be replicated or replaced by machines. It may be slow, but it gives our hearts a place to rest.

正如一位法国嘉宾所言，湖南人热情、直率、有生命力。这种气质，本身就像一部小说。文学从来不只是书架上的书，它在这片土地上生长，也在人与人的相遇中发生。

As one French guest observed, the people of Hunan are warm, straightforward, and full of vitality -- a spirit that feels like a story in itself. Literature is never confined to bookshelves; it grows from the land and comes alive in human encounters.
