3月26日，第六届龚古尔文学奖中国评选在长沙揭晓。受法国驻华大使馆邀请，龚古尔学院院士埃里克-埃马纽埃尔·施米特担任特邀嘉宾与评委。
On March 26, the results of the 6th Prix Goncourt China Selection were unveiled in Changsha. At the invitation of the French Embassy in China, Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt, a member of the Académie Goncourt, served as a special guest and announced the results.
施米特院士表示，这是他第一次来长沙，对长沙的印象是，这里人的性情，就如本味佳肴——火辣且热情。
Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt remarked that it was his first visit to Changsha, adding that the people here are very much like the local cuisine—spicy and full of warmth.
他认为，虽然有的人是中国人，有的人是法国人，但天下大同。以文学为媒，感官是相通的，文学活动让大家可以跨越国界交流，了解到不一样的东西。
He noted that although some people are Chinese and others are French, people share a common humanity. He added that literature can serve as a bridge, enabling people to connect in how they perceive and understand the world, and helping them transcend national boundaries to gain new perspectives.
