Hunan-made Construction Machinery Popular in the UAE, Saudi Arabia

In the first two months of 2026, Hunan's construction machinery export remained a momentum of growth, according to the Changsha Customs Authority. Export value reached 6.46 billion CNY, an increase of 27.4% year on year.

Private sector played a pivotal role in construction machinery export, while wholly foreign-owned enterprises had their exports multiplied. During the two months, Hunan's private businesses exported construction machinery valued at 5.78 billion CNY, increasing by 77% and accounting for nearly 90% of the province's total. Exports of construction machinery by foreign-funded enterprises reached 630 million CNY, with those made by wholly foreign-owned enterprises achieving 11.179 million CNY, soaring 187.3 times. Exports made by state-owned enterprises surged 44.9% to 42.569 million CNY.

Hunan mainly exported such construction machinery as earthmovers, excavators, road rollers, and cranes, and its export markets mainly included the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, and some other countries in the Middle East. During the January-February period, Hunan's construction machinery exports to the UAE hit 840 million CNY, soaring 139.2%, and those to Saudi Arabia reached 590 million CNY, rising 26.7%. The exports to African countries surged 120.4% during the same period.
