Construction of all 19 drilled piles for the No. 137 main pier of the Changsha Xiangjiang River Grand Rail-road Bridge has been completed by March 17. This railroad bridge is a critical control project on the Changsha-Ganzhou High-speed Railway Hunan section. The construction of the newly-completed No. 137 pier and the No. 138 main pier was inaugurated simultaneously on January 23, 2026. The constructers have been working around the clock, stepping up construction of the entire railway. With a total length of 768.1 meters, this railroad bridge is of great significance for the Chongqing-Xiamen High-speed Railway as a part of China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network. The construction of Changsha-Ganzhou High-speed Railway Hunan section has been progressing steadily since its inauguration in July 2025.
