On the morning of March 12, the "Beautiful Hunan" Snapshot Campaign was launched at Yanghu National Wetland Park in Changsha. This marked a significant step forward in Hunan's efforts to explore new pathways for public participation in ecological progress and to establish a pattern for collaboration and sharing. The event was jointly organized by the Ecology and Environment Department of Hunan Province and the Hunan Daily.This event established a new platform for public engagement in ecological conservation through innovative methods. A dedicated ecological photography exhibition was held on site. It featured over 20 selected works systematically showcasing the province's remarkable achievements in environmental protection. Among them, a set of comparison photos of ecological restoration projects like the "Manganese Triangle" area in Huayuan County and the Guitang River in Changsha attracted much attention of the audiences, vividly illustrating Hunan's resolute efforts in pollution control and green transformation. Following the launch ceremony, photography enthusiasts and environmental protection volunteers conducted field trips to capture the beauty of Hunan's ecosystem through their lenses.This initiative will be held throughout the entire 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030) on an annual basis. Through continuous visual documentation, the event aims to record the progress of building a beautiful Hunan, establish a new pattern for public participation in ecological and environmental governance, and create a provincial ecological image database. Each image tells a story of Hunan's dedication to ecological conservation.
