Sixth Hunan Tourism Development Conference Slated for Late May

The Sixth Hunan Tourism Development Conference will take place in Xiangtan City from May 22 to 24, 2026, according to a recent press conference.

The theme of the Sixth Hunan Tourism Development Conference is "Inheriting Revolutionary Traditions, Sustaining Revolutionary Legacy, and Promoting High-Quality Development of Red Tourism in Hunan." The conference will adopt a "3+5+1" event format. The three main events are an opening ceremony and a showcase of classical ideological and political theory courses themed "Forging Ahead in the New Era"; observation tours of cultural and tourism projects; and, the Hunan Provincial Promotion Conference on the High-quality Development of Red Tourism.

Five supporting events include the inaugural ceremony of the Shaoshan Grand Classroom at the Tian'e Mountain Comprehensive Practice Base and the launch of premium study-tour courses; sessions on the integrated development of red tourism; the 18th China Tourism Commodity Competition and the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan (CZT) Cultural Tourism Consumption Shopping Season; the "Flavor of Xiangtan" culinary tourism promotion event; and the 7th Hunan (Xiangtan) Qi Baishi International Culture and Art Festival. Additionally, a "Vibrant CZT" commercial concert will be held.
