2026 Changsha Spring Festival Lantern Fair

Taogong Temple Fair

Venue: Taogong Temple Square and the Ancient Theater

Activities: Highlights include a display of Hunan's achievements in intangible cultural heritage preservation, Hunan Opera excerpts, dragon and lion dances, Hunan embroidery, paper-cutting, lantern riddles, and stamp-collecting activities.

Han Dynasty-style Temple Fair

Duration: 9:00 AM-10:00 PM; February 17-March 3, 2026

Venue: Changsha Window on the World

Activities: The Changsha Window on the World will launch a temple fair that brings people back to the Era of Lady Xin Zhui. Visitors can watch performances, admire lanterns, savor Hunan delicacies, stroll along the first and largest Han Dynasty-style lantern street, and walk around a special lantern array formed by 999 bamboo sections, the largest of its kind in Central and South China.

Spring Festival Temple Fair

Venue: Fire God Palace Restaurant on Pozi Street

Venue: Orange Isle in Changsha

Activities: The Orange Isle in Changsha will launch a series of Chinese New Year themed celebrations. Blending the elegance of the Song Dynasty (960–1279) with contemporary charm, the initiative aims to offer residents and visitors a unique Spring Festival experience. The events feature lantern shows, immersive performances, interactive activities, and more.
