Hunan Receives 819 Mln Tourist Trips in 2025

The annual cultural and tourism work conference of Hunan Province was held in Changsha on January 19, 2026.

Li Aiwu, deputy director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and also secretary of the CPC Leadership Group and director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, unveiled related information at the conference.

In 2025, Hunan received 819 million tourist trips and achieved a total tourist-expenditure of 1.15763 trillion CNY, respectively representing year-on-year growth of 10.56% and 9.02% on a comparable basis.

As for the first three quarters of 2025, Hunan had 7,629 large-scale cultural and tourism enterprises and related businesses who generated a total revenue of 338.879 billion CNY, growing 10.3% and 8.6% respectively over the same period of the previous year.

Throughout the year, 176 major cultural and tourism projects were under construction, each with an investment of more than 50 million CNY. The total investment reached 172.48 billion CNY. More than 70,000 public-benefit activities were held, involving over 56 million public participations. A total of 57,300 commercial performances were held across the province.
