On December 29, the Changsha Metro Group announced its operational schedule for the upcoming New Year's Day holiday.

On December 31, all metro lines in Changsha will extend their operating hours to 1:00 AM the following day with the exception of the Hongqiao-Xiangtan North Station section of Changsha Metro Line 3, which will close at midnight.

On that day, Wuyi Square Station and Huangxing Square Station will flexibly implement passenger management measures in accordance with instructions from the Wuyi Business District Command. Specific arrangements will depend on real-time conditions. From 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM the following day, exit access will be closed at Exits 2 and 4 of Wuyi Square Station. All other exits (1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8) will remain open for both entry and exit. Separately, Exit 1 at Huangxing Square Station will be entry-only from 6:00 PM until midnight.

The 2025-2026 China Badminton Super League Finals will be held in Changsha from January 1 to 2, 2026. During this period, the entire metro network will extend service hours until midnight, except for the Hongqiao-Xiangtan North Station section of Line 3, which will run until 11:00 PM.

From January 1 to 3, a mixed operation mode of long and short routes will be implemented on Lines 1 and 2 between 10:00 AM and 11:00 PM. Specifically, the long route of Line 1 is from Shangshuangtang Station to Jinpenqiu Station, while the line's short route is from Shangshuangtang Station to Kaifu District Government Station. Line 2 features a long route between Guangda Station and Meixihu West Station alongside a short route between Guangda Station and Yingwanzhen Station.
