Hunan Expressway Group (HNEG) has achieved a historic breakthrough in implementing its "going global" strategy. Recently, HNEG's first overseas project was officially launched in Tanzania, an East African nation, with the successful signing of the Mbuyuni Parking Lot project for the Dar es Salaam Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) System. This move marked HNEG's first concrete step to expand into overseas markets and promote its technology and management expertise globally.

China and Tanzania have consistently led the way in China-Africa cooperation, jointly advancing the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative. As Tanzania's largest city and port, Dar es Salaam sees a growing demand for infrastructure construction. Following multiple rounds of discussions and efforts, the Hunan Expressway Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of HNEG, and Hunan Fangsheng Engineering Construction Co., Ltd. have successfully signed a cooperation agreement, formally undertaking the construction of the Mbuyuni Parking Lot for Dar es Salaam's BRT project. The project team has already commenced preliminary work to ensure smooth project progress.

A joint temporary campsite of the two companies is established in Tanzania.
According to a HNEG spokesperson, this project will not only alleviate local traffic congestion and enhance urban operational efficiency, but also provide valuable experience for HNEG in implementing overseas projects. Building on this collaboration, HNEG will continue to enhance the capabilities of its international team, actively participate in the Belt and Road Initiative, and explore pathways for business upgrading and market expansion.
