On December 16, the Hisense (Changsha) Home Appliance Industrial Park, located in the Ningxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, officially commenced operations. With a total investment of 10 billion CNY, this intelligent manufacturing benchmark factory injects strong momentum into the high-quality development of Changsha's advanced manufacturing sector.

As a strategic core project of Hisense Group in central China, the industrial park is scheduled to be constructed in two phases. The first phase, which has now commenced operations, involves an investment of five billion CNY. It focuses on the intelligent manufacturing of commercial air conditioners and primarily produces high-end products such as water chillers and multi-split systems. Utilizing the world's most advanced industrial layout, the project aims to become a lighthouse factory-level production base. As one of Hunan Province's top ten major industrial projects for 2025, the project has undergone a remarkable transformation from blueprint to reality in just over a year, vividly demonstrating the synergy between "Ningxiang Speed" and "Hisense Strength."

In recent years, Ningxiang has consistently adhered to its positioning of "Building a Strong Industrial City and a Happy Ningxiang," and has steadily moved toward its goal of "Becoming a Sub-center of the Provincial Capital and Ranking Among the Top Ten Nationwide." This county-level city's comprehensive economic strength has consistently ranked among the top 100 counties in China, and the Ningxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone secured the 60th place in ranking of China's top 100 industrial parks in terms of advanced manufacturing in 2025. Led by industrial giants Hisense and Gree, Ningxiang has established a smart home appliance industrial ecosystem characterized by upstream-downstream linkages and front-end-back-end collaboration. The Ningxiang Smart Home Appliance Industrial Cluster has been recognized as a provincial-level industrial cluster for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Hunan, while the Ningxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone has been designated as Hunan's only characteristic industrial park for home appliances.
