On October 28, the media delegation participating in "Experience Vibrant China in Changsha — 2025 Overseas Media Tour of the Star City" visited the Songya Lake in Changsha County. Formerly known as Yangmei Lake, the site was enclosed in 1973. In 2008, a project to restore the area to a lake began. In 2010, water was impounded to form a lake of nearly 4,000 mu (266.67 hectares). Later, the lake was recognized as a national wetland park and one of the "Beautiful Lakes Along the Yangtze River Economic Belt." (Photo/Yang Huafeng)
