The statistical data released by the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism shows that Zhangjiajie received 261,200 inbound tourists in the first quarter, an increase of 47.58 times from the first quarter of 2023 and 44.44% from the first quarter of 2019.

Those inbound tourists are from 101 countries and regions, including South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong of China, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, the United States, and Russia.
In the first quarter of this year, Zhangjiajie received 105,100 South Korean tourists, accounting for 40.23% of the total number of inbound tourists.

Since the beginning of this year, Zhangjiajie has made efforts to expand the inbound tourism market, introduced an action plan to spur the development of inbound tourism, increased international flights, innovated promotional and marketing channels, strengthened diversified exchanges and cooperation, and improved inbound tourist reception services.

In the first quarter, Zhangjiajie City carried out promotion and marketing activities in foreign countries such as the United States, Mexico, France, and Belgium to expand overseas market cooperation channels, and improved the popularity of Zhangjiajie’s inbound tourism through overseas television stations, tourism exhibitions, social media platforms, etc.

At the same time, it optimized entry customs clearance measures, increased international flights to South Korea, the Philippines, Malaysia, and other countries, improved credit-card consumption and settlement services for foreign tourists, established a cooperation mechanism for school-enterprise training of foreign language tour guides, and continued innovation in product development, service support, and other aspects to help inbound tourism recover.
