On April 15, the Changsha Municipal People's Government signed a framework agreement with Chinese artificial intelligence (AI) service provider iFlytek to deepen cooperation. Wu Guiying, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, met in Changsha with Liu Qingfeng, chairman of iFlytek and his entourage. Secretary Wu Guiying welcomed the guests and thanked iFlytek for its long-term support for Changsha's economic and social development. She noted that iFLYtek is a benchmark and a leader in the AI sector. The company has increased its presence in Hunan, injecting intelligent momentum into Changsha's high-quality development. Changsha is thoroughly implementing the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions made during his inspection tours in Hunan and the spirit of a symposium on further energizing the central region in the new era. The city makes continuous efforts to build "three hubs" and strives to take the lead in promoting the rise of the central region and the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, which will facilitate broader cooperation between the two sides. It is sincerely hoped that iFlytek will give full play to its resource advantages in the AI field, continue to deepen cooperation with Changsha in key areas such as industrial development, scientific and technological innovation, urban governance, and public services. The two sides are expected to work together to conduct basic research and applied research and tackle problems in key technologies, accelerate AI industry clustering and ecological construction, and generate and strengthen new quality productive forces. Changsha will do its best to provide high-quality and efficient services with the utmost sincerity.

Liu Qingfeng thanked Changsha City for its concern and support for iFlytek, and introduced the development of the general AI industry, the company's development strategies, and its layout in Changsha. He said that the signing of this agreement has been a new outcome of long-term mutual trust and sincere exchanges between the two sides. As a national pilot zone for new-generation AI innovative development and a national AI innovation and application pilot zone construction city, Changsha boasts a strong industrial engine and a surging innovation vitality. iFlytek will continue to increase investment and industrial layout in Changsha, actively participate in the construction of AI applications such as education, medical care and digital government in Changsha, and promote the implementation of the agreement as soon as possible.

According to the agreement, the two sides will jointly expand the iFlytek (Hunan) AI Research Institute and the AI Industry Acceleration Center. iFlytek will actively empower key industries and fields through AI and accelerate the integrated application of AI in education, medical care, and industry, thereby helping boost Changsha's digital economy and people's livelihood development. Changsha City will support IFlytek's various innovative application pilot programs and create a benchmark for AI demonstration.
