The 2024 Hunan (Spring) Rural Culture and Tourism Festival will be held in Pingjiang County of Yueyang City from April 10 and 20.

During the period, such activities as the opening ceremony, the promotion of culture and tourism experience, the promotion conference of typical cases of rural revitalization empowered by culture and tourism, and the live-action roaming in Honglianbing Village will be held to showcase the culture, life, scenery, and tourism in rural areas of Pingjiang County.

During the festival, Pingjiang County will launch a ceremony to build a “National Demonstration Zone of Integrated Development of Culture and Tourism of Hunan-Hubei-Jiangxi Tianyue Mufu Mountain” with Xiushui County of Jiangxi Province and Tongcheng County of Hubei Province, sign a strategic cooperation agreement on “integrated development and exchange of tourists” among the three regions, and release their high-quality tourism routes. Experts will share their views on topics related to “new culture, construction, industry, tourism, and life in the countryside”.

So far, Hunan Province has held the Hunan Rural Cultural Tourism Festival for 26 sessions, and has hosted the high-quality national “Village Gala” demonstration activity of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for 4 consecutive years. It has launched a batch of seasonal cultural tourism products that meet rural development and market demand, and established a series of rural characteristic tourism brands, so as to improve the visibility of Hunan’s rural areas and help promote local poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.
