Hunan-Austria Trade Matchmaking Conference Held in Changsha

The 2024 Hunan-Austria Trade Matchmaking Conference, themed "Trade Promotion Towards a Win-win Cooperation", was held in Changsha on March 25.

A number of Austrian intelligent manufacturing enterprises, including TYROLIT and Fronius Intelligent Equipment China (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., had one-to-one negotiations with Hunan's counterpart manufacturers, reaching several intended deals.
"Austria and Hunan have wide cooperation fields," said Birgit Murr, consul of commercial affairs and acting head of the Austrian Consulate General in Guangzhou. She expected that the two sides would further communication and cooperation starting from this conference, in order to achieve mutual benefit and common development.

The Austrian intelligent manufacturing enterprise delegation will visit Hunan's representative intelligent manufacturers, such as Zoomlion, SANY, China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Corporation (CRCHI), CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive, and BYD.

Hunan has maintained frequent cultural exchanges with Austria in recent years. In 2000, Hunan and Austria's Burgenland established a friendship province-state relationship. In 2020, Hunan's Zhangjiajie and Austria's Morbisch inked an agreement to knot friendship city ties. The CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive set up a joint rail transit technology R&D center in Austria, focusing on the development of hybrid shunter locomotives and super-capacitor new-energy vehicles.
