MARA Hunan Integrated Scientific Research Test Base for Canola Plants Completes Construction

On March 11, Hunan Agricultural University teachers and students bagged canola flowers at the Hunan integrated scientific research test base for canola plants of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) in Yanxi Town, Liuyang City. The base was built by the MARA with an investment of 21 million yuan. Covering more than 1,100 mu (about 73 ha.), the project started construction in September 2023. It is to be used for breeding new cultivars with high yield, high quality, high resistance, and high efficiency which are suitable for fully mechanized production. Construction of Hunan integrated scientific research test base for canola plants of the MARA in Yanxi Town, Liuyang City has been completed. The project will be put into use by the end of March 2024.
