A mobilization meeting was held in Changsha on the morning of February 27 to discuss the preparatory work of the organizing committee office of the 3rd Hunan Tourism Development Conference. During the meeting, reports on the progress of the preparatory work by the organizing committee office, working teams, and the executive committee of Hengyang City were presented. The meeting mapped out plans for future work.

A steering committee headquarters for the preparatory work of the organizing committee office was established, consisting of one central office and ten working teams. Hengyang has achieved positive results in enhancing mechanism, rolling out projects, attracting investments, improving service quality, and increasing public awareness. Beyond that, the city will give priority to showcasing its distinctive culture, including Hengshan Mountain culture, Huxiang culture, Anti-Japanese war culture, and industrial culture. The focus will be integrated into the entire process of planning, project arrangement, landscape upgrades, and publicity efforts.An array of activities will be held according to the conference.The main events will include:
-- an opening ceremony;
-- a cultural tourism promotion conference;
-- cultural tourism projects observation events; and,
-- a meeting on boosting the development of the tourism sector.The supporting activities will include:
-- the 8th Hunan Art Festival Mass Cultural Events;
-- the launch ceremony of Hunan History, Culture, and Tourism Alliance and serial activities;
-- the 3rd Hunan Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo;
-- 2024 Hunan Cultural Tourism Industry Investment and Financing Conference; and,-- China Culinary Tourism Forum and "A Taste of Hengyang" Chef Gathering.Hengyang's Linghu Park has been clearly identified as the venue for the opening ceremony.
At the mobilization meeting, Li Aiwu, deputy director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, and secretary of the CPC Leadership Group and director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, stressed the need to do a good job in successfully holding the 3rd Hunan Tourism Development Conference.
