The CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Hunan Province held a grand ceremony in Shaoshan to commemorate the 130th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Mao Zedong on the morning of December 27, 2023.

Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee; Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province; Mao Wanchun, chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee; and, other attendees laid flower baskets at the bronze statue, paying high tribute to the great man's towering achievements and noble demeanor. Li Dianxun, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, presided over the ceremony.

On December 27, the provincial Party committee and the provincial government held a flower baskets-laying ceremony in Shaoshan to commemorate the 130th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Mao Zedong 2023.

Secretary Shen, along with other leaders and comrades, straightened the red ribbons on the baskets.

All the participants visited the Shaoshan Mao Zedong Memorial Museum after the ceremony. The "China Has Mao Zedong" theme exhibition hall officially opened to the public upon upgrading. It displays hundreds of new precious relics and documents, comprehensively presenting Comrade Mao Zedong's unwavering dedication to the country's prosperity, national rejuvenation, and wellbeing and his indelible historical contributions to the Chinese nation.

Leaders and some senior comrades of the provincial Party committee, the provincial people's congress standing committee, the provincial government, the provincial people's political consultative conference, and the provincial military command; representatives of the relatives of comrade Mao Zedong; persons in charge of the relevant provincial departments, the provincial committees of non-CPC political parties, the Hunan Federation of Industry and Commerce, and the people's organizations; and, some advanced models and representatives from all walks of life, were present.
