塔树相依，矗立百年|长沙惜字塔（The Tower and Tree Stand Together for A Hundred Years| Changsha Xizi Tower）

地方流传，位于长沙市望城区的惜字塔始建于道光年间，在光绪年间塔尖被雷电击中后，塔顶就变成了鸟类的栖息地。

According to local legend, the Xizi Tower in Wangcheng District of Changsha City was built during the Daoguang period, and after the spire was struck by lightning during the Guangxu period, the top of the tower became a habitat for birds.

鸟儿衔来朴树的种子，很意外又很自然的形成了塔上的大树，从此塔树相依，矗立百年。

The bird took the seeds of trees, and it was unexpected and natural to form a big tree on the tower. Since then, the tower and tree has stood for a hundred years.

这座塔采用花岗石砌成，塔高约12米，一共有5层，整体形状是六边形。

The tower is made of granite and is about 12 meters high, with five floors and an overall hexagonal shape.

如今这颗树也已经有七米多高，以树为顶，也称得上是自然界的奇观之一。

Today the tree is also more than seven meters tall, and with the tree as its top, it is one of the wonders of nature.
