Zhangjiajie Ice & Snow World, the largest indoor ski resort in the south central China, was officially opened on Dec. 26, starting a new era of national winter sports in Zhangjiajie. Zhao Yinggang, chairman of the Chinese Association of Sled and former director of the winter sports management center of General Administration of China, and Ou Yangbin, Zhangjiajie vice mayor attended the event.

Located in Yanghe Tujia Township, Cili County, Zhangjiajie Ice and Snow World is a major cultural tourism project introduced by Cili County, and built by Zhangjiajie Ice & Snow World Tourism Development Co., Ltd with a total investment of nearly 600 million yuan. It involves indoor skiing, snow entertainment, stage play “Frozen”, ice glass bridge, adventure trail and other ice-snow experimental projects. In recent years, Cili takes the opportunity of welcoming the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, strives to develop snow sports and snow tourism industries, and builds the Ice & Snow World into an excellent landmark project that drives the development of Zhangjiajie east route tourism.

Vice mayor Ou said in his speech, 2019 is the 3rd year of Zhangjiajie’s winter high-end tourism brand event. Zhangjiajie has launched 10 theme activities and 6 preferential policies focusing on the opening activity of indoor skiing resort of Zhangjiajie Ice & Snow World. It has realized the integration of beautiful scenery and sports with the form of “sports + tourism”. Welcome tourists across the world to Zhangjiajie for sightseeing and entertainment in winter.

On the same day, Shan Zhaojian, China’s first ski champion, and Guo Dandan, China’s first world ski champion, visited Zhangjiajie Ice & Snow World. They watched the real-scene stage play “Frozen”, experienced skiing, snow entertainment and other snow projects with tourists across the world.

The listing price of the snow entertainment park in Zhangjiajie Ice & Snow World is 168 yuan per person, the ski hall is 258 yuan per person. Zhangjiajie citizens can enjoy preferential policies, the ski ticket is 150 yuan and the snow entertainment ticket is 60 yuan. Citizens can only cost 35 yuan to walk on the ice-glass bridge and enjoy beautiful snow scenery on the ice-glass bridge, which is to be opened.
