Recently, the 2025 list of top 50 global mining equipment manufacturers was released at the T50 Summit of World Construction Machinery Industry Asian Forum in Jakarta, Indonesia. A total of 13 Chinese companies made the list, including Sany and Zoomlion. Sany entered the top 20 at 13th place, while Zoomlion ranked 38th.

Among the 50 companies featured in this year's ranking, 14 are traditional mining machinery manufacturers, while the rest are leaders in their respective niche sectors. The list includes companies from 15 countries, with China having the highest number of entries—13 enterprises. In terms of sales volume, U.S. companies led with total sales of 16.987 billion USD, accounting for 22.16% of the global total. Japanese firms ranked second with 15.363 billion USD, taking up 20.04%, followed by China in the third place with 14.723 billion USD, constituting 19.21%.

As a leading domestic construction machinery manufacturer, Sany has long attached great importance to the development of mining equipment and green and environmentally friendly technologies. Its intelligent open-pit mining solution is built on smart products such as remotely controlled excavators and mining loaders, enabling operators to work safely away from hazardous frontline areas. Furthermore, supported by digital and automated mine management systems, the solution optimizes resource allocation, route planning, and operational scheduling, significantly improving overall efficiency.

Zoomlion has deep roots in the mining industry, which traces back to the Design Office of the Ministry of Construction Engineering's Mechanical Engineering Bureau established in 1956—the earliest research institution in China's construction and mining machinery industry. In recent years, Zoomlion has actively promoted unmanned operations and is setting new benchmarks for green and intelligent mining. Notably, its recently launched driverless wide-body dump truck for mining, the only one of its kind in the industry with a load of 100 tonnes, can meet diverse operational needs in mining zones. Equipped with self-developed and mature industry-standard autonomous driving systems, the dump truck can fully replace manned operations, meeting the demands for efficient and safe transportation in open-pit mines.
