The Fourth Xiangxi Prefecture Tourism Development Conference will take pace in Longshan County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in late October, 2025.

Themed "Mysterious Xiangxi, Discovering Longshan," the conference adheres to the core concept of "prospering a city by hosting a cultural tourism conference." Through the main conference and twelve key activities across five categories, the event will comprehensively showcase the unique charm of cultural and tourism resources of both Longshan and Xiangxi.

As the host for the conference, Longshan County has focused on the goal of "setting an example for prospering a city by hosting a cultural tourism conference." The county authority will host twelve activities centered around five categories—"Liye Ancient Town and its Qin-era bamboo slips; a red tour to Ciyantang Town; the twin cities of Longshan County in Hunan and Laifeng County in Hubei; the Bamian Mountain; and, the charming Rebala Scenic Area." The activities include a seminar on the protection of ancient county ruins of the Qin Dynasty and the study of Qin-era bamboo slips, as well as the Sixth Bamian Mountain Starry Sky Music Festival. Among these, four pre-conference events have already been completed, while the remaining eight are progressing in an orderly manner.

The conference organizers have also developed core cultural tourism IPs around "a well, a mountain, and a cuisine." Four quality tourism products will be promoted: "Exploring the Qin Dynasty in the Ancient City," "Tracing the Origins of the Tujia Culture," "Experiencing Revolutionary Legacies," and "Embarking on a Journey Through Magnificent Landscapes." The high-quality development of the local cultural tourism industry will be advanced through quality upgrades, integrated development, and brand promotion. Additionally, the local authority will leverage the opportunity brought by the opening of the Chongqing-Xiamen High-speed Railway, to expand its tourist market and develop Longshan into a captivating destination.

The conference is hosted by the CPC Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture Committee and the People's Government of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, and organized by the CPC Longshan County Committee, the People's Government of Longshan County, and the Culture, Tourism, Radio and Television Bureau of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture.
