Originating from Liuyang, Hunan, Liuyang steamed dishes are prevailing across the country, with restaurants of the same name available on the streets everywhere. Following traditional ancient methods, they are steamed over water to preserve and enhance the natural flavors of ingredients. They boast several signature dishes. Steamed Assorted Cured Meats, for instance, features an enticing blend of smoky cured flavors and fresh meat with a firm yet tender texture; while Steamed Pork with Rice Flour impresses customers with its soft, sticky, and delicate texture, especially when its rice flour soaks up the meat juices to amplify its fresh flavors. Each steamed dish implies a vivid interpretation of Liuyang's food culture, an inheritance of traditional cooking techniques, and also a passion for life. In the process of steaming and enjoying, it brings people together and conveys warmth and satisfaction.
