The power transmission and transformation industry stands as one of the pillar industries in Hengyang City, Hunan Province. In recent years, Hengyang has driven intelligent upgrading across the entire industrial chain of the power transmission and transformation industry through smart technologies, achieving breakthroughs in manufacturing technologies for ultra-high voltage AC/DC transmission equipment and large-scale hydropower, thermal power, and nuclear power facilities. The city has developed advanced equipment for the country such as 1000kV generator transformers.Boasting China's first 5G smart factory in the sector, Hengyang utilizes robotic arms, automated logistics, and an intelligent "smart brain" system to promote fully digitalized production. Efforts have been made to extend the industrial chain to upstream and downstream enterprises, with products and technologies now serving numerous countries and regions. Hengyang is reinvigorating the growth momentum of the power transmission and transformation sector through extending, supplementing, and strengthening the industrial chain.
