Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, inspected Zhangjiajie on August 7, 2024. He asked to implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and President Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions made during his inspection tours in Hunan. He called for acting on the principle that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets, consolidating and strengthening the momentum of economic recovery, and striving to achieve the development targets for this year.

On the afternoon of August 7, Governor Mao inspected the Jiangya Reservoir in Cili County.

The Jiangya Water Conservancy Hub Project is an important flood control backbone project on the Lishui River basin, with an annual power generation of 756 million kilowatt-hours. It irrigates 5,700 hectares of farmland and provides living water for 50,000 people around. Governor Mao and his entourage walked up to the reservoir dam and learned about the water level and installed capacity of the reservoir in detail.

Governor Mao visited the Hunan Qiankun Biotechnology Co. Ltd.

In recent years, the Zhangjiajie High-tech Development Zone has vigorously promoted the return of Hunan entrepreneurs, focusing on biomedicine, tourism commodities, new materials, electronic information and other industries. It has carried out upstream and downstream investment promotion in the industrial chain, achieving encouraging progress in "Five-good" industrial parks and zones construction and substantial improvement of comprehensive strengths.

Governor Mao came to the Zhangjiajie Qihui New Materials Co., Ltd. for inspection.

During the inspection tour, Governor Mao called for giving top priority to the high-quality development, continuing to follow the principle of "protecting lucid water and lush mountains", and coordinating high-quality development and high-level security.
