Charming Dehang Miao Village

The quiet Donghe River branch winds through mountains in the early morning. A veil of mist rises and hangs over the river, presenting a mysterious and gorgeous view.
Dehang is a representative village of the Miao ethnic group. The beautiful canyon is located 20 kilometers from the west of Jishou City. Inside the village, there is a road section along the Hunan-Chongqing Highway known for its challenging conditions. Walking up the stream, you may find scoop waterwheels, water-powered rollers, ancient ferries, boats, and stilted buildings. You may also have the chance to watch a drum dance stage by Miao people. The idyllic scenery awaits you to explore.
