The Hunan provincial Party and government delegation took a study and inspection tour to Shanghai on April 10 and 11, 2024. On the morning of April 11, a Shanghai-Hunan cooperation, development, and exchange symposium was held in Shanghai, to deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.

Chen Jining, secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, attended and made a speech.

Gong Zheng, deputy secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Shanghai mayor, and Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Hunan governor, respectively introduced the economic and social development of the two places.

Huang Lixin, director of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress; Hu Wenrong, chairman of the CPPCC Shanghai Municipal Committee; and, Mao Wanchun, chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, were present.

On April 11, the Shanghai-Hunan exchange symposium was held in Shanghai.

On April 10, the Hunan Party and government delegation visited the Memorial of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

On April 10, Hunan delegation inspected the project that aims to connect the Huangpu Riverbanks. 

On April 10, the delegation paid a visit to the Xuhui District Administrative Service Center.

On April 11, the delegation inspected the Zhangjiang Science City.

On April 11, the delegation visited the Jinqiao Development Zone.

On April 11, the delegation came to the Volvo Construction Equipment (China) Co., Ltd. for inspection.

On April 11, the delegation visited the China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited.

On April 11, the delegation inspected the Yuandang Ecological Restoration and Function Enhancement Project in the Yangtze River Delta Integration Demonstration Zone.

Shanghai municipal leaders Zhao Jiaming, Zhu Zhisong, Li Zheng, Zhang Xiaohong, and Liu Duo; Hunan provincial leaders Wu Guiying, Xie Weijiang, Qin Guowen, Wu Lan, and Cao Zhiqiang; and, COSCO Shipping president Wan Min, participated in relevant activities.
