Hunan in poetry·Approaching Du Fu

“正是江南好风景，落花时节又逢君”这首江南逢李龟年，写于杜甫客居长沙的时期，今天我们来到了杜甫江阁，把诗歌背后的故事讲给你听。

“Now the Southern scenery is most sweet,But I meet you again in parting spring.”This poem comes from Meeting Li Guinian Again in the South, which Du Fu made when he lived in Changsha， today we came to Du Fu Pavilion, the story behind the poem to tell you.

杜甫(712~770)，字子美，自称少陵野老，世称杜工部。原籍襄阳(今湖北襄阳)，生于河南。

杜甫的诗，广泛深刻地反映了现实社会的矛盾和历史内容，被称为“诗史”。

Du Fu (712~770), whose courtesy name was Zimei, Self-proclaimed Shao Ling Ye Lao, known as Du Gong Ministry，was born at Gong County,Henan. His ancestral home town was located in Xiangyang (now Xiangyang, Hubei Province).

Revered as the "Poet Historian", he composed poems which extensively and profoundly reflected the social conflicts and historical events of his time.

杜甫的一生经历了唐朝的危机和战乱，曾辗转中国多个地方，从河南出发，杜甫曾前后到过山东、陕西、四川、湖南等地。

In his life, Du Fu experienced the crises and wars of the Tang Dynasty and traveled to many places in China, starting from Henan, Du Fu once traveled to Shandong, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Hunan and other places.

杜甫江阁大厅中央的《杜工部潇湘行踪图》，展示了杜甫在湖南生活时的行踪，杜甫从重庆顺长江而下，进入湖南，先后到达岳阳、长沙、衡阳等地，后又返回长沙。至死，流落湖湘之间，未能还乡。

The picture of Du Gong's Xiaoxiang Whereabouts in the center of the hall shows Du Fu's whereabouts when he lived in Hunan. Du Fu went down the Yangtze River from Chongqing, entered Hunan, successively reached Yueyang, Changsha, Hengyang and other places, and then returned to Changsha.Until his death, he wandered in Hunan and never returned to his hometown.

晚年的杜甫因多年漂泊，身患多种疾病，一家五口，一叶小舟，泊居潭州（今长沙）小西门湘江码头岸边。后来又佃居江堤边一座旧式吊脚楼。虽是木板木桩搭建，却近观水陆洲，远眺岳麓山，别有风光，杜甫称之为“江阁”。现在的杜甫江阁是为纪念杜甫而建造的。

In his later years, Du Fu suffered from a variety of diseases due to many years of wandering. He had a family of five, a small boat, and stayed on the shore of Xiangjiang River pier at Xiaomimen in Tanzhou (today's Changsha). Later, he lived in an old stilt house beside the river embankment. Although it is built with wooden boards and wooden piles, it is close to the water and land continent, overlooking the Yuelu Mountain, which has a unique scenery, Du Fu called it "River Pavilion". The present Du Fu Pavilion was built in his memory.
