今年是中国和多米尼加建交5周年。北京时间5月1日晚，长沙市作为中方唯一代表城市，和多米尼加首都圣多明各市在各自标志性建筑上互相点亮对方国旗颜色的灯光。

The year 2023 marks the fifth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the Dominican Republic. On the evening of May 1, 2023, Beijing time, the landmark buildings in Changsha, the only representative city of China, and Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic, turned on the lights in the colors of each other’s national flags.

多米尼加是位于加勒比海地区的一个小岛国。这里景色宜人，有漫长的海岸线、清澈碧蓝的海水，是全球著名的“旅游天堂”。

The Dominican Republic is an island country located in the Caribbean Sea. It has long coastline, clear blue water and is known as "tourist paradise".

自2018年5月1日建交以来，中多双边关系发展良好，经贸、文化交流日益频繁。湖南省、长沙市、沅江市先后与多米尼加首都圣多明各等城市缔结友好省市关系。

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations on May 1, 2018, China and the Dominican Republic have developed sound bilateral relations with increasingly frequent economic, trade and cultural exchanges. Hunan Province, Changsha City, and Yuanjiang City have successively established sister relationships with Santo Domingo and other provinces and cities of the Dominican Republic.

多米尼加驻华大使塞古拉，在接受湖南日报专访时坦言，“自己被香辣可口的湘菜征服了。”

“I’m deeply impressed by the spicy and delicious Hunan cuisine,” said Briunny Garabito Segura, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to China, in an exclusive interview with Hunan Daily.

这个月，湖南省杂技艺术剧院将在多米尼加交流演出，将集中展现形式多样、内容丰富、最具湖南杂技代表性的优秀节目。

This month, the Hunan Acrobatic Art Theatre will visit the Dominican Republic for the intensive exchange of the most typical Hunan acrobatic performances rich in content and forms.

相信随着中多建交五周年的到来，中多关系将迎来更加美好，中多友谊之花将更加灿烂！

On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the Dominican Republic, we expect a brighter future in China-The Dominican Republic relationship and a deeper friendship between the two countries!
