NASA: Meteoroid strikes eject water from Moon
美国航天局探测器记录下流星在月球上撞出水蒸气
For the first time, scientists observed that streams of meteoroids struck the Moon and infused the thin lunar atmosphere with a short-lived water vapor.
The study published on Monday in the journal Nature Geosciences showed that those meteoroid streams occurred in January and April 2014.
The findings will help scientists understand the history of lunar water, a potential resource for sustaining long term operations on the Moon and human exploration of deep space. (CGTN)
美国航天局研究人员4月15日在英国《自然·地球科学》杂志上报告说，一个月球探测器于2014年1月和4月分别观测到了流星撞击月球表面后，月壤中的水蒸气进入月球周围稀薄空气中的情形。这也是人类首次观测到该现象。
此次发现将有助于科学家了解月球水源的历史。月球水源是人类能够在月球上长期活动和进行深空探索的潜在资源。
