All key tasks for the main structure of the Muping Xiangjiang Grand Bridge have been completed, and related finalizing works are now underway. After the project opens to traffic, the travel time between both sides of the Xiangjiang River in the southern area of Changsha will be shortened to five to ten minutes. The total length of the Muping Xiangjiang Grand Bridge project is 4.416 kilometers, of which the main bridge section crossing the Xiangjiang River spans 1.83 kilometers. The design speed is 80 km/h, and the viaduct features a two-way six-lane configuration. The Muping Xiangjiang Grand Bridge is a key passage in the southern transverse traffic corridor of Changsha. The east end of the bridge connects to the Changsha Olympic Sports Center, and the west end reaches directly to the Xiangjiang Science Town. Once completed, it will link the Dawangshan area with the core integration zone of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan, further stimulating the vitality of high-quality regional development.
